| Cancarp Ltd was formed in February 1983 by the two principal
Directors, Mr K. Greenhalgh and Mr A. Bridge and occupies 3660 sq metres of
modern industrial units in Salford, near Manchester, United Kingdom. We specialise in the design and manufacture of both snap action and slow moving bimetallic discs which are used in a wide range of products - thermostats, circuit breakers, electric kettles, high pressure sodium lamps, solar collectors, shower controls, automotive cooling systems and many more. The bimetallic discs can be any shape or size but the commonest is a round snap action disc. The operate and reset snap temperatures of the discs can be as low as - 40°C and as high as 450°C with tolerances as low as ± 1°C at lower temperatures and ± 20°C at higher temperatures. Manufacture of these discs may be either to the customer's own specification or to a specification arrived at with Cancarp's input at the development stages of the design. We will either recommend the bimetal type to use (see links below) or work with our customers own preference. Recent developments include the manufacture of pressure sensitive snap discs in the range -1 to +10 bar For further information on bimetal types / specifications please visit:- www.kanthal.com www.emsclad.com |
